Top 5 Summer Lipglosses

I posted the first picture on my Instagram page but thought some lip swatches would be helpfull, so you guys can see how the lipglosses look on my lips.

These are my top 5 favorite lipglosses this summer, I really like the texture and color of these and think they are perfect for summer.

1. Chanel Rouge Allure in '15 Sensible' - This lipgloss is the most sticky off the bunch but that also means that it lasts a little longer than the others. The color is a soft peach with a subtle shimmer to it, on the picture it's a bit washed out, it's a bit more opaque in reality but not as opaque as the other glosses.

2. Rimmel Apocalips in 'Stellar' - This color just screams summer to me. I love these lip lacquers from Rimmel, they are completely opaque, comfortable on the lips not sticky at all and last really long on the lips as well.

3. Lancome Lip Lover in '320 Ambre Arabesque' - I really like the formula on these glosses, they are super comfortable and moisturizing on the lips, this color is a beautiful tomato red with a subtle shimmer to it, perfect for the summer.

4. Dior Addict Fluid Stick in '479 Magique' - These glosses are some of my all time favorites, the color pay off is really nice, they are really comfortable on the lips, there is a huge color range and they lasts pretty well on the lips as well. This is the darkest color I have so far and it's a beautiful shade for this time of year.

5. Maybelline Color Elixir in '110 Hibiscus Haven' - This is the most summer like color off the bunch if you ask me, it's a bright hot pink very glossy lipgloss and I love pulling it out in the summer months. The formula on these is really nice as well.

Those are my favorites at the moment. Thank you for reading and have a great day!

Haul : June

I wanted to share some bits that I've picked up the last month or so.

NailsInc Nail Kale base coat - my current base coat is running low and I quite randomly found this one on feelunique, I thought it sounded really interesting. I haven't tried it yet, but if I like it I will probably mention it in a favorites post.

Maybelline Fit Me - I got this concealer in '15 Fair' and it's a perfect match for my light skin. I ran put of my Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer and wanted to try something more light weight. This one is really creamy and has good coverage. So far I really like it.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in 'Golden Pink' - I've already mentioned this one in 'Golden Bronze' here and here and since I liked that one so much I wanted to get another color as well. This one is a beautiful golden pink color with lots of shimmer to it. It's not as creamy and smooth as the 'Golden Bronze' one though, but it's really beautiful and lasts well on my oily eyelids even without a primer.

Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows - I've already mentioned these here and after trying them out a couple of times I'm really sad to report that they all crease pretty bad on my eyes. As mentioned I have pretty oily eyelids and a bit hudded eyes as well, so I don't know if that's the reason. But I really want to try the popular Nars eyeshadow primer, and if that one works better with these eyeshadows I will report back!

MaxFactor Creme Puff blush in '10 Nude Mauve' - When these came out they took the beauty blogger world by storm, and I can definitely see why. I don't know why it's called creme, it's definitely a powder, but it's a very smooth powder! This color is beautiful and I've been wearing it almost every single day, it goes perfectly with any eye look or lipstick. I definitely recommend these and would like to try some other color out myself.

MaxFactor Exess Shimmer in '25 Bronze' - I already own this in the color 'Copper' and really like the texture and finish, even though it's a very creamy cream eyeshadow it doesn't crease on me at all, which is pretty impressive. This one is a dark bronze color, perfect for a smokey eye.

M.A.C. Pigment in 'Copper Sparkle' - I really love the mac pigments and this color has been on my wish list for quite some time, it's a beautiful metallic copper that really makes blue and green eyes pop.

Thank you for reading I hope you found some inspiration and have a great day!

Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows

I've heard so much rave about the Makeup Geek eyeshadows especially the Foiled ones. When they came out the whole beauty world went crazy for them and I always thought the looked so amazing.
But when living in Denmark buying makeup outside EU can be quite expensive if the customs catch them.
So about a week ago I finally placed an order and hoped I wouldn't end up paying taxes on them as well, and lucky me, I didn't!

I picked three Foiled eyeshadows up:

In The Spotlight - a peachy eyeshadow with a beautiful silver metallic sheen to it

Grandstand - a taupe rose gold with a beautiful metallic sheen to it

Flame Thrower - a bright warm copper with a gold metallic sheen to it

These have an amazing metallic sheen to them and are very pigmented. I haven't tried them on my eyelids too much, so I will have a review up as soon as possible, also showing you guys the eyeshadows on my eyes. I still have to figure the best way to apply them and how they last throughout the day. So be on the lookout for that.

Thank you for reading and have a great day!

MOTD : the Bobbi Brown Shadow Stick

I mentioned this in my last post and wanted to show you guys it in action.

I've been wanting to try these shadow sticks from Bobbi Brown for a long time and I'm so happy I finally did.
The packaging is very convenient and a shadow stick like this is great for a quick eyeshadow look. The formula is really nice, pigmented and creamy and it blends out nicely so it really is great if your in a rush in the morning. Just slap some of this on the lid and blend out the edges with a brush or fingers, mascara and you're good to go.

This shade 'Golden Bronze' is a beautiful bronze brown with a lot of sheen to it and some bigger silver shimmer as well. I really love this shade and even though it's a little dark I don't mind wearing it everyday at all. And it's perfect for a one shadow eyeshadow look.

I'm very impressed with this and will definitely try some other colors as well!

Thank you so much for reading and have a great day!

Haul : April & May

Like I did in march I wanted to show you guys the beauty/makeup bits I've picked up. But since I didn't get one up last month I thought I would just combine it with this month. Here we go...

The Pro Hygiene Collection Antibacterial Makeup Spray - pheeew that's a long name. I really like the idea of this product, a bacteria killing spray for your makeup. I've only used it ones on my powder products and I really didn't like the spray on this, I was spraying away from the table and still it got all over the table, it does not have a very fine mist. And it leaves a really greasy residue on the packaging of the products that was really hard to get off. So I'm not sold on this one yet.

L'Oréal Infallible Matte Foundation - I have mine in the lightest color '10 Porcelain'. I really like this foundation, it keeps my skin matte for a couple of hours and looks really nice on the skin.

Dior Huile Apricot - I've already talked about this in my april favorites, this is a really nice serum/cream for your cuticles and nails and the tube is very convenient.

e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator - this thing is seriously great! I've used it a couple of times and it leaves my lips so smooth and nourished. It exfoliates really well and smells (and tastes) really good. And the best thing is how affordable it is. I definitely recommend this a lot!

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil - this is a really nice lip oil that I like to use at night, it leaves lips feeling super soft the next morning and it smells really good.

Dior Rouge Dior Brillant '263 Swan' - I will be having a review of this lipgloss up very soon, so I will talk more about it then. But this is seriously great!

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick 'Golden Bronze' - I will also have a review off this up very soon, on saturday actually. So I will go more in details with it then, so stay tuned.

MaxFactor Exess Shimmer '20 Cobber' - this eyeshadow is so beautiful, I will definitely show you guys this one in action as well very soon. The formula is very different from any other eyeshadow I own.

L'Oréal Brow Artist Plumper 'Medium/Dark' - I finished my Benefit Gimme Brow and had heard a lot about this new one from L'Oréal, so I wanted to give it a try and I really like it. It doesn't have as many fibers in it as the Gimme Brow, which really filled the brows in, but the color of this L'Oréal one is a lot better for my dark hair.

M.A.C. Prep + Prime Skin Refined Zone - I haven't used this one much as it really doesn't go well with the L'Oréal Infallible Foundation and since that one keeps my quite matte I don't really need a primer right now. But I'm looking forward to trying this one out more with another foundation.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Eye Pencil 'Jet' - I haven't tried this one out yet since I just finished my Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 'Black' but I'm excited to see how it compares.

So those were some new makeup bits I've picked up. I will keep you guys posted through reviews and favorites. Thank you for reading and have a great day!

MOTD : Burberry 'Pale Barley' eyeshadow

So I finally caved after hearing raves upon raves about the 'Pale Barley' eyeshadow from Burberry and when they had just reformulated them, I thought I would give this particular color a go.

First off, the packaging is gorgeous, it's heavy and really well made and feels luxurious.
The new formula is formulated so that you can use them dry for a more sheer finish or wet for a more opaque finish. This is a the first time I've tried anything from the brand and I'm very impressed with the quality.
I can definitely see why they call them Eye Colour Silk, the formula is really silky and smooth when you swatch or put your brush in, unlike any other eyeshadow I own.

On the pictures above I've applied it wet, I sprayed my brush with some Fix+ and it gives an opaque cool toned brown color with a beautiful sheen, I haven't worn it dry yet as I really love a shimmery eyeshadow.

I can definitely see this being a perfect everyday neutral eyeshadow that will suit many different skin colors, tones and eye colors. So I understand the hype and would be very interested in some other shades of these eyeshadows.

If you've been thinking about trying this but not been sure about the price, I definitely feel it's worth the splurge as the color is beautiful and neutral for everyday and the formulation is really nice, so I would recommend it!

Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Dior Rouge Dior

Over the last year or so I've developed a love for the Dior Rouge Dior lipsticks. And when they reformulated their lipsticks I decided to try some. I have a collection of 4 right now, but who knows it might expand at any time.
The lipsticks are super pigmented, creamy, not drying at all, and the lasting power is better then you would think given the moisturizing formula.

Dior Rouge Dior lipstick 'Mazette 028' - Is a beautiful coral color that is perfect for the spring summer months but it's not too bright.

Dior Rouge Dior lipstick 'Pink Baiser 361' - Is the perfect every day dusty rose, it's a great color for every day use all year around.

Dior Rouge Dior lipstick 'Trafalgar 844' - Is the kind of red I love wearing in the spring and summer, it's a brighter red/orange.

Dior Rouge Dior lipstick '999' - Is the perfect dark red color all year around, especially in winter and the holidays.

Thank you for reading. I hope you found it helpfull. Have a great day!

MOTD : smokey eyeliner

Lately I've been really enjoying making my cat eyeliner flick with a pencil in stead of gel or liquid. I like the more smudgey soft look compared to the crispy look gel and liquid eyeliners give.

I really like the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Khol Kajal, they are affordable and are soft and blendable, but the one I'm wearing on the pictures above is Rimmel Soft Kohl Eye Pencil in 'Sable Brown' I don't find this one to be as soft and blendable on the eyes though as the Scandaleyes pencils, so I definitely recommend those in stead.

To smudge the liner out slightly I've used an angled liner brush like this one which is really affordable as well.

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed and have a great day!

MOTD : Nars Dual Intensity Eyeshadow 'Himalia'

As promised in my March Haul blog post I want to show you the Nars Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in 'Himalia'.

On the pictures above I've applied the eyeshadow wet, I love applying eyeshadows wet, it always gives a more pigmented and shimmery/metallic look that I love.
'Himalia' looks like a classic bronzy brown in the pan, but when I apply it wet on the eyelids it gives a more bronzy color with a taupy undertone and lots of silver shimmer. It's really beautiful and reflective.
When I took these photos I had been wearing this makeup for almost 12 hours and the eyeshadow lasted all day without any creasing, but I always wear a primer on the eye lids.

On the lips I'm wearing the Bobbi Brown Lip Liner in 'Pale Pink' all over the lips. It gives a matte look and lasts really well. On the pictures it looks quite orangey, but in reality it's a bit more pinky as well. It looks like my lips but a little lighter, so when I wear it you can almost not see that I have anything on, which is what I was looking for in this lipliner, and it works perfect for all my nude lipsticks and lipglosses.

So I definitely recommend the eyeshadow, you get two options in one, depending if you wear it wet or dry, and it's a beautiful shimmery bronze/taupe color.
I also recommend the lipliner if you're looking for something nude that will go with your nude lipsticks and lipglosses.

Thank you for reading and have a great day!

Haul : March 2015

Today I wanted to share some beauty bits that I've picked up throughout march. It's not too many, but they are some real goodies.

First we have the Yves Saint Laurent Tint-in-Oil in '04 Pink About You', these released this month, I think, I had a feeling they would be right up my street, so I was quick to pick one out.
These are super moisturizing on the lips, feel so good and nourishing.
It's the first swatch on my arm and it doesn't look like much, but on the lips is creates a nice light pink stain that lasts all day. I've been loving to wear this one to school as it nourishes the lips and gives of a beautiful natural color.

Second there is the Bobbi Brown Lip Liner in 'Pale Pink', I already have the one in 'Red' worn here and really like it, so I wanted to pick up a more natural color, that would work for every day. This one gives a light pink color, just a tad lighter than my natural lip color, and works great for a lot of my more neutral lipsticks and lipglosses. Love the finish and color. And it's the second swatch on my arm.

Third we have the Lancome Lip Lover in '312', I've mentioned this lipgloss in another color before here and I really love the consistency of them. They are pretty opaque, go on feeling like a moussy texture, and then melt on the lips and feel like a balm. They are really comfortable and nourishing on the lips.
I really wanted this light peachy shade for everyday wear and it's beautiful.

Lastly there is the Nars Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in 'Himalia', I've wanted to try these eyeshadows ever since they came out, so I finally bit the bullet and purchased one. This is a beautiful bronze color and on my arm I've swatched it dry, but next week I will show you how it looks on the eyes applied wet. This is a beautiful color and the quality is really nice. I also love the fact that they are made to be worn either wet or dry.

Thank you for reading and have a great day!

Dior 'Cuir Cannage' quint - three looks

I bought this Dior quint a couple of months ago here, but found myself not using it as much as I wanted to. So I decided to make a blog post with three different looks using this one palette, and it really helped myself creating different combinations and seeing the different things you can do with these five eyeshadows. I feel like I enjoy it a lot more now than I did before.

Look 1 - for this look I wanted to create a simple everyday combination that would be quick to do but still make you look presentable for the day to come. I first used the middle matte brown shade in my crease and then the shimmery champagne color in the upper right corner all over the lid, inner corner and lower lash line. The photo does not do it justice as it's really a beautiful shimmery champagne color. And for a liner I used the shimmery dark purple color.

Look 2 - this one is also pretty easy and definitely something I would wear for everyday. I again took the middle matte color in the crease and lower lash line, then I took the shimmery bronze color in the lower left side, wet my brush and applied it wet on the eyelids. That gave the color a lot more pigmentation and made it a beautiful shimmery bronze color. I absolutely love it applied wet, but it's also a beautiful color when used dry. And for a liner I used the satin/matte black color.

Look 3 - for the more dramatic weekend look I again took the middle matte color in the crease, then I took the bronze color in the lower left side on the inner half of the eyelids and the shimmery purple color in the upper left corner on the outer half of the lids, then too deepen the look further I took the satin/matte black color in the lower right side and put that in the outer V of the eyes, I also used this to slightly line my lash line. For the lower lash line I used the dark purple on the outer half and the bronze color on the inner half and blended the edges with the matte brown color. On the inner corners I took the light champagne color.

I really liked all three looks and I feel like I will get more use out of this palette now that I have tried some different combinations.
There really is a lot of things you can do with this palette.
They are really pigmented and blend out beautifully, so I highly recommend it!

Thank you for reading, I hope this gave you some inspiration and have a great day!

MOTD : Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow & Nars Audacious Lipstick

I wanted to show you guys two of the things I mentioned in my February Favorites.

On my eyes I'm wearing the Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow 'D-562', this shadow is a beautiful brown taupe with lots of silver shimmer and sparkle. When applied dry it gives a beautiful wash of shimmery taupe, but the way I love to wear it and the way I'm wearing it on the picture is wet and it gives a metallic shimmery look that I really love.
But a quick tip, load your brush with the eyeshadow and then wet the brush, don't wet the brush and then dip it in the eyeshadow, that will ruin the eyeshadow.
Unfortunately the pictures are not doing this eyeshadow justice. It's so much more metallic and shimmery in real life, it's so beautiful. You will just have to take a trip to Sephora and see for yourself.

On the lips I'm wearing Nars Audacious Lipstick 'Anita' which is a beautiful mauve nude for every day. But like I mentioned in my favorites post, the color suits me best when I dap it lightly on and it gives a matte finish that lasts really well.

I would love to pick up some other colors of the lipstick and eyeshadow at some point. The quality of both products is really good and even though they're a bit expensive you get a lot of product and wear out of them for the money!

Thank you for reading and have a great day! xo

2015 Makeup Organization

Firstly I want to apologize for the silence on the blog this month. We've moved and it's been quite busy and stressfull, so I didn't have the chance to really get any posts up and since it all happened so suddenly I didn't get the chance to plan ahead and write posts to go up automatically.

But now we're finally in our new apartment and we're really happy about it. And I've got a new makeup storage situation that I really love, so I thought it would make a good blog post to get back into the swing of things again.

My new makeup table is the famous Ikea MALM table, it's just the perfect size and has a nice drawer that fits a lot of things as well, and the glass top makes it easy to keep clean from eyeshadows and lipsticks!

For my palettes I have an acrylic letter holder I'm pretty sure I bought from The Container Store but I can't find it, so I'm not sure if it's sold out. But it holds all my pallets, except one, perfectly. I have my M.A.C cheek and eye palette, Naked3, Lorac Unzipped and Naked Basics.

Then I have an acrylic brush holder from ebay.com and this stores all my brushes really nicely as well, I have divided them, two slots for face brushes and one for eye brushes. I absolutely love this for storing brushes.

Then there is my mirror, Chanel loose powder and M.A.C. Fix+, things I use every day, but can't really fit anywhere else.

And lastly I have my Nomess acryllic makeup storage that fits all my makeup, bottom drawer: face products, middle drawer: eye products and top drawer: lip products.

On top of that I have my perfumes from Zara, Marc Jacobs, Miss Dior and the two in the front I've bought in Egypt.
I also have an acryllic lipstick holder, and as you can see I still have room to buy more, which is nice!
And I also have some new buys standing there soon to be featured on the blog.

Then in the drawer I have my Make Up Store palette, some makeup and skincare backups, nailpolish and nail art supplies, sunglasses and other miscellaneous things.

As you can tell I really like acrylic makeup storages. I think they look really nice and clean and makes it easy to see all the things you have, so you don't forget to use any of it.

I really love the setup I have now, so thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed and maybe got some inspiration. Have a great day! xo

Beauty Repurchases from 2014

As you probably saw in my empties series (here, here, here and here) I finished some beauty products in 2014, and as I mentioned in those blog post, some I would repurchase and others I wouldn't.

So I wanted to show some of the things, skincare, haircare, nailpolish and makeup, that I actually did repurchase throughout the year off 2014.

I'm sorry this is up so late, I wanted to get it up a couple off weeks ago. But things have been busy around here, so I finally have time to sit down and write this now.

GHD Heat Protect Spray - This is my favorite heat protectant. The mist is really fine and sprays evenly over the hair, not hitting everything else around you, as I find some sprays do. Highly recommend!

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream - Also mentioned here. The best hand cream I've found so far, except the Caudalie mini ones, but they're for my purse. It moisturizes and sinks into the skin really fast without leaving a greasy residue on the hands.

M.A.C. Fix+ - Also mentioned here. I use this every day to set my makeup. It smells really nice and leaves the skin feeling refreshed. Great to use over makeup or throughout the day. I bought my first bottle in june, and as I mentioned I use it every day to set my makeup, and I still have a little left. It's also great to wet the brush with to make eyeshadows more pigmented.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple - Also mentioned here. I've used this cleanser for almost a year now and I still love it just as much. It cleanses the face and gets rid off all the makeup in just one wash, it really makes washing your face easy and quick. And one bottle of this lasts really long.

Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream mini - Also mentioned here and here. The little mini hand creams are really nice and convenient to have in the purse. These also moisturize and sink into the skin really quickly without leaving a greasy residue on the skin.

Lancome Hypnose mascara - Also mentioned here. It's one of my very favorite mascaras. The bristles are really nice and give lashes a lot of length and volume without clumps.

Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara - Also mentioned here. Is the other one of my very favorite mascaras. Like the Lancome one it gives length, volume and no clumps and this one is really great at curling the lashes as well because of the form of the wand.

Clinique Bottom Lash mascara - Also mentioned here. The best mascara for lower lashes ever. No more smudging or flaking and the tiny wand really gets to all the small lower lashes.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair - Also mentioned here. Is the best serum I've ever tried. It really helps with fine lines and preventing aging signes on the skin. Buy this in duty free tough, because it's really expensive but totally worth it!

Beauty Blender Cleanser Solid - Also mentioned here. The best soap for cleansing the Beauty Blender as well as makeup brushes. And this little soap lasts really long as well.

Beauty Blender - Also mentioned here. The best thing ever to apply foundation. Really makes foundation blend unto the skin flawlessly.

Ciaté 'Amazing Gracie' - Also mentioned here, here, here and here. As you probably can guess from all the blog posts I've written the last year about this nail polish, it definitely was one of my favorite nail polish finds off last year. I got a mini bottle of it, and when I used it up I bought the full size straight away!

Seche Vite - Also mentioned here. This is my favorite top coat I've tried so far. It dries the nail polish super quick and helps the longevity of the manicure as well.

These are all the repurchases I made last year. I hope you found this helpfull and interesting. Thank you for reading and have a great day! xo

2014 Makeup Empties : lips

Lastly for my empties series we have lip products.

Dior Creme de Rose - The best lip balm I've ever used. Expensive but worth it. Unfortunately I think this has been discontinued in Europe but you can still get it in the US. Will repurchase if I get the chance.

Elisabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant - Can't find it online, I bought mine in duty free. This was nice and helped with chapped lips. But I like the original Eight Hour Cream better. Won't repurchase.

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector '01' - This is one of the best glosses I've ever tried. It smells so good, fells nice and moisturizing on the lips, not sticky at all and the color is beautiful. Would repurchase.

NYX Butter Gloss 'Peaches and Cream' - I've heard a lot of rave about these, but I find this gloss a tad sticky, the color didn't look to great on me and I'm not a huge fan of the scent. Won't repurchase.

Dior Addict Lip Glow '004 Coral' - I didn't find that this one gave me a more coral color on the lips, but just the same color as the original one. It smells nice and feels good on the lips, but I won't repurchase it.

Dior Addict Lip Glow - Smells really good, feels nice and moisturizing on the lips and gives of a nice color. But I don't think it's worth the pricetag, so I won't repurchase.

Nivea Volume Shine '64 Pure Diamond' - This is an old one, so couldn't find it online. This was a great lipstick, an orangey/red color with amazing pigmentation and lasted really well on the lips and on the same time it was shiny and comfortable. I really liked it. I have no idea where I can purchase it, so I probably won't repurchase.

Laura Mercier Lip Glacé 'Sweetheart' - I got this last year in a limited edition palette. I really liked it, it's a beautiful color, smells really nice and felt good on the lips, not sticky at all. As the shipping is quite expensive to Denmark I won't repurchase.

These were the last empties of 2014, I hope you found it interesting or helpfull. Thank you for reading and have a great day! xo

2014 Makeup Empties : eyes

Third and second to last in this empties series we have eye products.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye - I was really excited about this one, unfortunately it smudged on my eyelids and made my eyelashes really hard and crispy and I didn't find that it made my eyelashes very smokey. Tossed it after using it for 2 months. Won't repurchase.

L'Oréal Voluminous - I've heard so many good things about this mascara, so I don't know if I got a bad one or what, but this is by far the worst mascara I've ever tried! It smudged so badly, I looked like a panda after 2 hours. I forced myself to use it for a month but then I just had to tosse it. Would not repurchase.

L'Oréal False Lash Flutter - I'm not a plactic bristled mascara fan, and didn't like the shape of this one, it didn't do much for my lashes. Won't repurchase.

Lancome Hypnose - I love the wand of this mascara, it makes lashes long and voluminous without clumping, one of my favorites. Have repurchased many times.

Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl - Also one of my favorites. Love the wand and the shape really helps the lashes curl, also gives length and volume without clumps. Have already repurchased and would probably do it again.

e.l.f. Eyebrow Kit - Really liked this, I used the cream side for my eyebrows and the powder side as my transition eyeshadow color. But I don't think I will repurchase as I want to try some other products for my brows.

e.l.f. Matte Eyeshadow - This was a pigmented very finely milled loose eyeshadow. I always used it under my brow bone and it worked really well. I have many other eyeshadows that I can use for that, so I won't repurchase.

L'Oréal Lumi Magique - After I had used this up I found out that I had used it completely wrong. This is not supposed to be a concealer on it's own, but to highlight the highpoints of the face. Maybe I will repurchase and use it the right way to see how I like it then. Didn't like it as a concealer, it was way to shimmery and glowy.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner - The nib is too stiff and the product dries out really fast. Won't repurchase.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara - This is the only thing I can use for my bottom lashes now. It doesn't smudge at all and the tiny wand really helps to get all the small lashes. Have already repurchased and will continue to do so.

Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer - I got this sample with my Lorac Unzipped palette. Didn't like it very much the formula is very thin but it did make my eyeshadow last all day. Won't repurchase.

I hope this was helpfull. Thank you for reading and have a great day! xo

2014 Makeup Empties : base

Next up on my series of empties are base product, foundation, powder, bronzer etc.

Garnier BB Cream Combination/Oily Skin 'Light/Clair' - This BB Cream was perfect for my summer skin, and the color matched really well. It held up nicely and controlled shine during the warm months. As this is the lightest color I haven't repurchased, but maybe I will in summer.

Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat 'B10' - Even in winter when my skin is drier this foundation was too luminous for me, the color was nice though. Won't repurchase.

L'Oréal Nude Magique BB Powder 'Light' - This is a nice powder that really helps blur the pores and prevents shine throughout the day. I think I have found my holy grail powder, so I won't repurchase this.

Garnier BB Cream Anti-Agint 'Light/Clair' - Couldn't find this online. This one is too luminous for me as well, it didn't prevent shine at all throughout the day and didn't sit well on my skin. Will not repurchase.

Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free foundation '02 Alabaster' - This didn't keep my t-zone as matte as I expected and could easily end up looking quite caky on the skin. So I won't repurchase it.

Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener 'Light Bisque 2' - This was really light and moisturizing under the eyes and didn't crease too bad, but it didn't cover my dark circles as well as I wanted. Won't repurchase.

Nilens Jord bronzer '531' - This is a great bronzer, the color is perfect for my skin tone, the powder is finely milled and looks natural on the skin while blending quick and easy. It worked well both on my summer and winter skin tone. Right now I have another bronzer, so won't repurchase right away but maybe later on.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray - I didn't feel like this set my makeup and made it last longer, so I won't repurchase this one, I've found another that I like better (M.A.C. Fix+).

So these were the base products I used up on 2014, I hope you found this helpfull and interesting. Thank you for reading and have a great day! xo

Brush Cleaning Egg

As I mentioned in my December Favorites I wanted to show you guys have I use my Brush Cleaning Egg. This has helped me a lot when washing my brushes, as it's a lot quicker, the brushes get more deep cleaned and my hands don't get all wrinckly and dry as they used to when cleaning brushes. I used to dread washing them, but now I actually think it's kind off fun.

You can buy the brush cleaner on ebay, it's super affordable and I really think you should try it!

Step 1:
I wet my brush under running water. Remember always to turn the brush upside down, if water comes up the barrel, it can loosen the glue, and the bristles will fall out a lot quicker.

Step 2:
I swirl my brush in the Beauty Blender Cleanser Solid, this is by far the best soap for brushes and the Beauty Blender I have ever found!

Step 3:
I quickly run some water on the brush cleaner.

Step 4:
Then I swirl my brush on the ridges making the soap foam up a bit.

Step 5:
While I'm swearling the brush on the ridges I run some luke warm water on the brush, washing all the soap away.

For my eye brushes I use the small dots on the tip off the brush cleaner. I find they make it a lot easier to clean the smaller brushes and the ridges help with face or other bigger brushes.

That is how I clean my brushes, it's super quick and easy.
I hope you found this interesting and helpfull!
